Well, that is a good quesiton. Reptilite™ is made of a naturally rounded, highly soluable form of calcium carbonate. When viewed up-close, as in this photo below; you can clearly see Reptilite™'s rounded grain structure while sitting on this quarter. This rounded structure is easier on your animals, inside and out. Also, did you know it's more difficult to get rounded grains to lock together, this too helps you animal more easily pass Reptilite™; should it be accidentally ingested.
